Dragon names should sound old, big and a little dangerous. Harsh clusters like DR, TH, X and Z, and endings such as -thrax, -gon and -oth, carry that weight. A title does the rest: a dragon is rarely just a name, it is a reputation.
Using titles
Titles can describe the dragon's colour (the Crimson), its home (of the Ashen Peaks), its deeds (Bane of Kings) or what people fear about it (the Devourer). In a story, villagers might only know the title, and learning the true name becomes a quest of its own.
