Elf names are long, flowing and full of vowels and liquid consonants: L, R, N and TH. Endings like -iel, -wen and -thil sound unmistakably elven, while -dir, -ras and -rion give male names a little more weight.
Elven family names
Many games give elves a family name in the common tongue that describes nature, such as Moonwhisper or Leafrunner. In D&D, elves also take an adult name at around a hundred years of age, so a character can have a childhood name too.
